Faith Khanyile is the CEO and founding member of WDB Investment Holdings (WDBIH), a strategic transformational investor founded and led by women. She has been associated with WDB for over 20 years. Faith is responsible for strategy formulation and execution, people management and leadership, sourcing of investments, stakeholder management, and representing WDBIH in some of its strategic investments as a Non-Executive Director.  She is passionate about making a difference in the lives of South Africans and in growing young people through mentorship and coaching. 

Faith has extensive experience in financial services, corporate and investment banking, strategy development and leadership. She spent 12 years with Standard Bank, Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) from 2001 to 2013 in various senior management and executive roles, including the role of Head of Corporate Banking from 2008 to 2013. From 2006 to 2013, Faith served as a member of the CIB Executive Committee, Credit Committee and CIB Transformation Steering Committee. She was also chairperson of the CIB New Business Committee.

Prior to joining Standard Bank, Faith was with Brait Private Equity from 1995 to 2000. Between 1998 and 2000, she was seconded by Brait to start WDBIH.   

Faith serves on the JSE-listed boards of Discovery Limited and Safari RSA Investments. She also sits on the board of Seed Engine, a supporter and funder of SMMEs.

She completed her BA Economics (Honours) and MBA at Wheaton College and Bentley Graduate School of Business, respectively, in the USA. She also completed an HDIP Tax from the University of Johannesburg and participated in the Columbia University (New York) Executive Leadership Programme in the latter part of 2007. She is a member of the International Women’s Forum (South Africa). In May 2016, Faith received an Honorary Doctorate in Laws from Wheaton College in recognition of her role in the upliftment of rural women in South Africa through WDB.
